About Me

Hi! My name is Jessica and this is where I love to share about this crazy adventure called motherhood, raising lots of little ones with my husband in the St. Louis area. I’m a cancer survivor, Christ follower, homeschool mom (you can read about how we homeschool here), and major ice cream lover.

A little backstory: In 2002, when I was 14, I was diagnosed with a terminal cancer called Alveolar Rhabdomysarcoma. It nearly took my life. After a year and a half of chemo (along with surgeries and radiation) I was diagnosed cancer free! That’s a shortened version. But if you want to read more about it, you can check out these posts.

journey to motherhood

I met my husband, Don, at the end of 2005, we were engaged at the end of 2006, and married in September 2007 at the ages of 19 (me) and 22 (him.) Soon after, we started popping out babies, one after the other. We have Liam (12,) Kai (11,) Kingston (9,) Evangeline (8,) Desmond (5,) and Clementine (4,) and Primrose (3)

Yes, our hands are full but we wouldn’t change it for anything! I love to share about the joys and struggles of motherhood, always keeping it real. Thanks for reading along!

We use WordPress to make Raising Roberts, which is hosted through Bluehost.

I chose Bluehost because it was recommended to me by a lot of people. I have been really pleased with them over the last few years. If you have a website that needs hosting, I recommend hosting through Bluehost! (This is also an affiliate link, but what I said above is my honest opinion. I have had no problems using Bluehost.)
